This website brings together a selection of my own images. I will be updating the photographs regularly, so that my site is kept active and contemporary.

I have developed as an amateur photographer over many years with the encouragement of my tutors, my family and my friends, all of whom have supported and guided my progress in different ways. I owe thanks to many people for their help in different ways.

My inspiration comes from researching the work of well- known photographers, including those who have had different life and background experiences to my own, or who have travelled as photographers, sharing their view of our world. Among my favourite photographers are Harold Davis (USA) and Sebastiao Salgado (Brazil). My greatest inspiration derives from being able to look at and appreciate the natural world of our landscapes, flowers and trees, and the animal world.

I like to take photographs of people in outside settings, using natural light. I prefer to use ambient light if possible, but some of my images have been improved by using a small amount of flash lighting.
